What cable do i need to connect my sony bravia to external speakers?

I already have a sony dvd player attached to the television with an hdmi cable.|||You should not connect an external speaker to the tv power amplifier due to they don't have much power to drive any speaker, at most they only have 5 to 15 watts. You can connect it to a receiver or a power amp then to your speakers. Hope this will help you out.
