HD Mov files arent acceptable on sony vegas. when i conver them to wmv the quality looks awful. what should i do.|||What type of file does your Aiptek camera produce? .mts?

Which version of Sony Vegas are you using?

I used to have HD problem with Sony Vegas until I updated it to the latest version.

Now HD (.mts files) video work smoothly on my Sony Vegas Pro 8 running on a quad PC.

No need to convert your video clip. It will only get worse in quality. Try updating your Sony Vegas online.

Who knows how to convert Sony files to be compatible with iTunes?

I just bought a new iPod, I previously had a Sony Walkman mp3. How can I convert my Sony music files to iTunes? Currently I cant drag and drop into iTunes as they arent in the right format.|||I'm pretty sure you can't do it, unless you used MP3 for your Sony Walkman, it was the NWA series that allowed you to use MP3's. If you used Connect player or Sonicstage to copy your CD's then the format is ATRAC and this is specific to Sony and cannot be converted into any other format.

If you imported your MP3's into Sonicstage/Connect player then simply use those MP3's in their original folder and import them into iTunes.

Honestly though, I know it's a pain (I've done it three times now!) just convert your music again into iTunes from your CD's. It will sound a lot better, MP3's converted into other formats always sounds a lot worse, at least converting direct from the CD's gives you a better quality sound, you want to get the best from, your iPod at the end of the day, so a few hours (or days!!!) converting CD's over to iTunes will be worth it in the end!

Once you've got an iPod you won't go back to any other player in the future, you'll stick with Apple! I've got the Sony NWA-3000 and previously a Minidisc player, all the software is annoying and the ATRAC format is really limiting as I'm sure you know!|||Use SonicStage to get the files off the MP3 player (I assume they are in ATRAC format?). Then use SonicStage to play or convert them to MP3. Then you can import them into iTunes.

Does the sony cybershot camera work with the new windows vista program?

I got a new inspiron 1521 computer from Dell and it's a Windows Vista. Which, is a new program. And i don't know if the Sony Cybershot works with it. I looked at its details and it doesnt include "windows vista" as a compatible program but that was in amazon. I dont think amazon was updated recently. So please, if you have a vista please help.|||Yes it work, you have just to download the latest software driver update from www.sony.com|||Hi Scented Marker,

You have good reason to be cautious. I have had tons of incompatibility issues with Vista.

I hunted around and couldn't find anything that mentioned Vista with the Cybershot.

What you should do is sign onto Amazon and send their customer service an inquiry. They are very fast to respond.

I am not a very tech-y person. My best friend has an LG shine and i am pretty sure the Sony phone is about as new as the shine. Anyway, she can upload pictures onto the computer. She has a cord, and i think that it came with her phone. Does at and t give those uploading cords to new phones? I haven't got a new phone since a few years. Will i get one with the purchase of the Sony Ericssonphone?|||Well Dont know about USa but IN Uk if u Buy S.E W580i U do get Data cable and the Pc suit CD with u ! How do you import movie clips from a Sony Handycam to a MacBook to be able to edit them in iMovie?

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-SR300 and a MacBook with OS X 10.4.11, iLife 08, and iMovie, and iMovie HD. I want to import clips from the Handycam to my computer and be able to edit them. Should I use iMovie HD or iMovie and how do i get the files to my computer?|||Connect the standard definition Sony DCR-SR300 hard disc drive based camcorder to the Mac with a USB cable. The camcorder needs to be in "Play" or PC mode. The internal camcorder hard drive will mount like any other external mass storage device.

Check the manual - near the back, there will be a couple of pictures showing the file system on the camcorder. You are looking for the video files.

You will also need to convert the files after you copy them to the Mac...

Download and install MPEG StreamClip

After the conversion is complete (you want to convert to MOV or MP4 files for iMovie), launch iMovie, name the video project and all that - when the iMovie project window opens, drag the converted video files to the Log %26amp; Capture area. These instructionas are the same for either iMovie '08 or newer... or iMovie HD '6 or earlier - but then you drag the video clips to the clips pane (not the Log/Capture area).

For what it is worth, you would have to do most of this if you were using Microsoft MovieMaker and Windows XP or Vista, too...
